Sr. Manager UX Design

As a Sr. Manager of product UX Design, you will have an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Align Digital Platform.  
 
The vision for the Align Digital Platform is to connect those that seek dental care directly with dental providers, integrate various imaging devices, Align’s state of the art proprietary software technology for 5D visualization, Big Data and AI-driven diagnostics, and treatment planning and monitoring.  
 
This enhanced platform will offer a streamlined and integrated experience to key stakeholders including consumers, patients, general dentists, orthodontists, dental lab technicians, dental service organizations, universities, and public hospitals.

Role expectations

·       Direct management of 5 designers with potential for team growth
·       Key contributor to organization's design direction and innovation
·       Review and critique design work, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to best practices
·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design solutions with product strategy and user needs
·       Advocate for user-centered design principles and promote design thinking across the organization
·       Contribute to the development and refinement of design systems and standards
·       Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in UX/UI design
·       Be passionate about nurturing talent and sharing knowledge
·       Have an ability to provide constructive feedback and foster a culture of continuous improvement

What we're looking for

·       Exceptional leadership abilities with experience in coaching and developing design talent
·       Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
·       Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
·       Deep knowledge of Figma
·       Experience with design systems and component libraries
·       Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability testing
·       Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
·       Bachelor's or master’s degree in UX design, HCI, or related field
·       Additional leadership or management training is a plus
·       8+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or related field
·       3+ years in design team management
·       Proven track record of leading and scaling design teams in fast-paced environments

Pay Transparency

If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically. 
 
For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S. 
 
Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
