Global GP Portfolio Director

This position is ideal for experienced marketing professionals to join the Global GP Portfolio team as a Director, Global GP Portfolio, leading the upstream and downstream marketing strategies for the General Practitioner (GP) category. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you’ll drive market segmentation, customer profiling, and strategic growth initiatives, while also leading global marketing campaigns and materials to support regional execution. This role is critical in shaping the company’s success in the GP dental segment and ensuring global market leadership.

Role expectations

  •  Support the GP Product portfolio in defining and executing the global strategy.
  • Working with regional teams to align on business priorities.
  • Conduct market segmentation and customer profiling to identify opportunities for category growth.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive adoption and expansion of the GP category.
  • Lead the creation of global marketing materials, messaging, and toolkits for regional adaptation.
  • Partner with regional marketing teams to ensure alignment and execution of global campaigns.
  • Work with global product managers and professional marketing teams to influence product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure success and optimize marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and professional organizations to drive thought leadership and education.

What we're looking for

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred. 
  • Experience: 12+ years in upstream and downstream marketing, portfolio strategy, or product management within the dental, medical device, or healthcare industry. Dental is preferred. 
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities, experience in market segmentation, customer insights, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience in presenting to senior leadership.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively across global and regional teams, influencing without direct authority.
  • Specialized Experience: Expertise in enabling general clinical practitioners to adopt and integrate procedures traditionally performed by specialists. E.g. dental implantology from dental surgeons to general dentists. 
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of GP dental workflows and purchasing behaviors.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and business analytics.

Pay Transparency

If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically. 
 
For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S. 
 
Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
