Jr. Software Engineer
This position is ideal for software developers to join the Treatment Planning team as a Jr. Software Engineer extending and improving clinical rules and approaches that form the basis of Invisalign treatment. Partnering with developers implementing mathematical methods, you’ll provide software services and detailed descriptions of clinical protocols deployed in cloud services to solve various medical tasks during the treatment planning process. This role is vital in creating user-facing applications in a regulated medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Write software components based on the defined tasks
- Perform code reviews with other developers in the team and update the code based on the review results.
- Create, share, and maintain tests for the written code block
- Write technical documentation for newly implemented functionality.
- Learn and improved software design, development, and testing knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with developers and engineers to develop software components and refactor existing code.
- Monitor software behavior and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in software engineering or computer science.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional or academic experience developing software in C++ (writing and managing code bases, understanding architectural solutions, OOP programming, TDD).

Skills:
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git and Bamboo) and text editors for writing in XML, ReST, or markdown. Asciidoc experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in C++ 17
- Knowledge of 3D geometry.
- Interest in learning the problem domain and sharing knowledge with the wider team.
- Ability to work in a regulated industry, follow a process, and achieve high quality in every detail.
- Familiarity with modern technologies and ability to learn fast.
- Basic knowledge of Computer Science disciplines with a focus on software development lifecycle organization process.
- Ability to effectively perform under tight timelines and changing environments.
- Communication: Good speaking and writing English. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Complementary Skills
- Knowledge of programming in C# and Python.
- Knowledge of AWS native services development (Lambda, EC2, IAM, S3), and skills in CI/CD Terraform.
- Knowledge and understanding of build and deployment pipelines, and use of Bamboo for deployment scenarios.
