Payroll Accountant

 
As Payroll Accountant, you will be the recognized expert responsible for the Accounting for multiple EMEA payrolls. You will have the opportunity to further improve and implement EMEA Payroll processes, including procedures and special projects.

You will work closely with our external providers and internal stakeholders (HR, Comp&Ben, Accounting).

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process journal entries and reconcile Payroll related general ledger accounts.
  • Provide account analysis for variances in the Payroll related accounts.
  • Collaborate with and provide accurate support to the Accounting department for payroll related items.
  • Prepare and book accruals.
  • Work together with the Account Payables department and vendors to ensure correct, timely and complete payments, journal entries and reconciliations. 
  • Participate in the month end close. 
  • Ensure SOX compliance by working according to the SOX controls.
  • Provide auditors (both Internal and external) with requested support.
  • Plan and perform activities required for international cross-functional projects.
  • Commit to the existing payroll processes, procedures and policies and suggest changes for improving the responsiveness, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Be the primary contact person for finance related questions from EMEA countries
 

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Excellent knowledge in Payroll Accounting 
  • 4-6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor Degree or other relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills, in order to effectively interact with all levels within the organization
  • Organizational and analytical skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • A proactive, positive, and solution-focused mindset 
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of SOX and accounting requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • An understanding of Payroll Operations (considered a plus)
  • Experience working in an international multi-cultural environment (considered a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
