HR Manager

The Human Resources (HR) Manager for Vietnam will be based in Ho Chi Minh. The incumbent plays a crucial role in aligning human resources strategies and initiatives with the overall business objectives of the organization. Serving as a strategic consultant to business leaders, the HR Manager focuses on fostering a culture of excellence, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. By understanding the critical needs of the business, the HR Manager collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and implement HR solutions that drive performance, enhance employee satisfaction, and support the achievement of business goals.

This role is also responsible for daily operations in all aspects of HR functions. The incumbent will use sound judgment and discretion to interpret policies and procedures and apply them appropriately, as well as execute HR programs and projects in the country. When required, the incumbent will provide HR support for other Southeast Asia countries.

Role expectations

·       Provide HR leadership, skill, and proficiency in working closely with business leaders and employees to formulate goals and practices that support business unit strategies
·       Guide business leaders through transformation efforts, and drive organization towards high performance and engagement by facilitating and influencing strategic and functional change
·       Partner with business leaders to identify key capabilities aligned with business goals/workforce plans, conduct gap analysis, and develop and implement buy/build strategies
·       Diagnose individual, team and organization issues and recommend appropriate interventions
·       Coach and develop all levels of management through performance feedback and effective management processes
·       Handle complex employee relations issues with sensitivity and professionalism. Conduct thorough investigations and resolve conflicts effectively.
·       Provide HR expertise and/or partner with functional HR Specialist teams in various areas such as succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition, organization development, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and training and development
·       Lead, initiate and support organizational development strategies including change management, conflict resolution, coaching, intervention, engagement surveys, employer’s branding, employee relations/bonding, and/or other necessary strategies
·       Provide guidance to leaders on a wide variety of people related matters, including employee relations, HR processes and/or company guidelines and/or programs
·       Responsible for the delivery of the full spectrum of HR services and operations to support the entire employee life cycle, including talent acquisition, talent onboarding, compensation and benefits administration, learning & development, performance management, exit management etc
·       Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with the HR team to develop programs and policies that enhance employee engagement and productivity.
·       Stay updated on legal regulations and industry best practices. Ensure all HR processes and procedures comply with relevant laws and regulations. Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies
·       Understand the HR risk environment, identify and mitigate potential HR risks and support managers to create a positive employee environment

 Additional responsibilities:
·       Ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives and deadlines assigned
·       Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to appropriate parties
·       Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
·       Provide support to audit processes and quality management system as required
·       Perform other duties as assigned

What we're looking for

To be successful in the role, the incumbent is likely to enjoy a dynamic, fast paced international business. Equipped with a strong HR technical background, the individual must be able to work with all levels of the organization. As the role is broad based, the individual needs to possess the flexibility and agility to support the business and be capable of managing multiple demands and priorities.

·       Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field plus a minimum of 10 years’ HR experience in a fast-paced work environment, including regional HR experience
·       Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively
·       Proven ability to have a hands-on approach while maintaining a strategic mindset
·       Solution oriented, looking beyond challenges, detail-orientation and analytical skills, with the ability to work well with data
·       Must demonstrate a high level of autonomy to manage and navigate multiple ongoing issues and complex employee relations matters with minimum supervision and with excellent execution
·       Requires the ability to perform in an environment of ambiguity and change
·       Effective collaboration and influencing skills with a track record of establishing a positive reputation for working effectively across different levels of an organization
·       Flexibility and willingness to work outside of regular business hours is required to ensure business needs are met
·       Familiar with Workday, IT savvy with good knowledge of local employment law
·       Excellent communication and presentation skills
·       Proficiency in English
