Sr. Machine Learning Engineer
The main goal of the team is to develop machine learning-based solutions for analysing and processing multimodal clinical data, including 3D meshes and scans, 2D images, text and table databases. The solutions will be used to evaluate treatment complexity, fuse several types of source data, and automate the treatment planning process.
You will be part of a cross-functional and multi-regional development organization that uses a wide range of technologies and tools. This will give you the opportunity to interact and share experiences with colleagues from different countries and cultures.
Role expectations
As a Senior ML Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Break down ambiguous business requests into distinct technical problems and determine the appropriate set of ML tools to address each issue
- Collaborate with the development team to develop the architecture of proposed solutions and support the integration of the model into the production pipeline
- Own, maintain, and improve a specific ML component
What we're looking for
- 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience
- A mathematical background in statistics, probability theory, optimization methods, linear algebra, analytic geometry, and graph theory
- A strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning approaches and algorithms, as well as an understanding of their limitations
- Experience in computer vision tasks such as classification, segmentation, and object detection
- Strong experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, and familiarity with modern ML libraries and tools
- Are comfortable documenting your work and can explain the outcomes of your experiments, including what worked and what didn’t
- Have contributed to developing machine learning solutions, preferably for process automation, and are skilled at assessing their impact in real-world settings
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical concepts to other engineers and technical leaders.
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency
It would be great if you:
- Have experience in 3D ML problems (such as point clouds, meshes, and graphs) and NLP
- Have participated in open-source projects or data science competitions (such as Kaggle) and can showcase your contributions
Technological stack you will be dealing with:
- Python, PyTorch, plotly
- Docker, AWS (S3, EC2)
- Git/Bitbucket, CI/CD tools (such as Bamboo, Jenkins)
- Mlflow/ClearML
- MONAI, MinkowskiEngine
