Global Indirect Procurement
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and negotiations for indirect procurement categories, including R&D services, IT EUC and infrastructure (hardware, software licenses, cloud services, IT support), office supplies, consulting services, facilities management, marketing services, and training providers to support various business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, IT, HR, Legal and Finance) to align procurement needs, such as sourcing R&D software, securing IT services for product development, or managing employee training services.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure KPIs for cost, quality, and delivery are met across all indirect procurement categories, from IT support to HR services.
- Conduct TCO analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, e.g., evaluating R&D software renewal costs, optimizing IT infrastructure contracts, or finding efficiencies in office supply procurement.
- Monitor and optimize KPIs for procurement efficiency across indirect categories, ensuring cost control, on-time delivery, and high-quality service levels.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring continuity for critical services, such as R&D tools, IT support, or facility management services.
- Oversee contract management and negotiations, ensuring favorable terms across indirect procurement categories, such as IT, HR consulting, or marketing services.
- Stay updated on market trends and innovative solutions, e.g., new R&D technologies, sustainable IT services, or cost-effective office supplies.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency, e.g., streamlining procurement for R&D tools, implementing e-sourcing for office supplies, or reducing vendor management overhead.
- Provide procurement expertise and ensure compliance with best practices, advising teams on selecting the best vendors for indirect services such as HR services, IT infrastructure, or consulting services.
- Ensure readiness for negotiation by understanding the procurement area, researching market trends, and preparing alternative solutions, e.g., for R&D services, IT contracts, or facilities management.
- Manage contract renewals to ensure optimal pricing and improved terms for R&D services, IT infrastructure, and other indirect procurement categories.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 5+ years of experience in indirect/direct procurement and Purchasing/Supply Chain management, with a focus on R&D and IT contracts – Must
- Fluent in Hebrew and English (verbal and written) – Must
- Proven negotiation skills, with experience in negotiating contracts for R&D services, infrastructure, software licenses, cloud services, and other indirect procurement categories – Must
- Experience with global procurement and managing relationships with overseas suppliers, particularly in R&D and IT sectors – Must
- Hands-on experience in subcontracting management for indirect services like IT support, HR development projects, and consulting – Required
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads in fast-paced environments – Required
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills– Required
- Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to managing procurement needs in indirect categories such as office supplies, consulting, and R&D services – Required
- High proficiency in BI Platforms such as Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting – Required
- Knowledge of SAP ERP system and its application in indirect procurement – Advantage
- Strong understanding of contracts, including negotiation, legal terminology, and clauses related to cost margin, COGS, OPEX, and risk management-Must
- Knowledge of contract law and the ability to collaborate with legal teams to ensure favorable terms and conditions for procurement contracts- Advantage
