Clinical Specialist, Treat (Pipeline JOB)

Align Tech is looking for a motivated and experienced Clinician to provide clinical leadership to a group of technicians with occasional help from Senior Clinical Specialist levels. Should demonstrate the ability and maturity to achieve and maintain technician's respect.
The Clinical Specialist should provide assistance on clinical inquiries to Align employees and prescribing doctors that require specialized dental expertise. 
Clinical Hotline participation and positive attitude should be seen on employees in this category and must start clinical communication with external customers. 
 
The Clinical Specialist must be able to identify difficult customer situations and shall be able to point to remedy in the Invisalign and/or CAD-CAM services products.
Individual performing at this level are expected to provide ideas and suggestions on how to improve clinical execution of cases.
Continue development of strong ability to work with production, quality and engineering team members is highly recommended.

Role expectations

  • Solve problems and take immediate initiative to remedy clinical, quality, or other such issues with Invisalign and/or CAD-CAM services products.
  • Participate in special projects and/or training when requested, as well as proactive team and individual efforts to achieve department and company goals.
  • Propose ideas for procedures and processes to promote improved service and customer satisfaction, and overall department improvements Invisalign and/or CAD-CAM services products.
  • Ongoing training of the production technicians.
  • Identify and propose remedial solution for training or skill deficiencies.
  • Perform quality sampling.
  • Make sound clinical decisions.
  • Communicate issues clearly to Clinical specialist and Customer Support Representatives.
  • Be proficient in transacting regularly and accurately within Software applicable to the Treat and/or iTero/OrthoCAD and Align process. Propose ideas to promote improved service and customer satisfaction, and overall department improvements.
  • Provide clinical leadership to group of technicians and Team Leaders.  
  • Demonstrate good attitude and skills at attending the Invisalign Clinic.
  • Demonstrate interest in rotating in Clinical Hotline and help making outbound calls upon request.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders and QA to help solve any clinical doubts that the technicians have.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the effective fulfilment of objectives and deadlines assigned to the group.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. 
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has indirect supervision over team leads and technicians as it relates to clinical matters.

  • B.S. Med or equivalent is required
  • Min 4 years of relevant experience is required
  • Excellent computer literacy required
  • Experience with 3D graphics programs is preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
  • Dentist qualification license

SKILLS REQUIRED: 
  • Ability to read, analysed, and interpret orthodontic records, treatment prescriptions, and all internal communications and operating procedures.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers (both internal and external) effectively. 
  • Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and supervisors. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities required. 
  • Business English required (Must: reading & writing; Better to have: conversational).

REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to identify and define complex problems, record data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve complex problems. 
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions regarding the orthodontic treatment plans for the patients of our customers. 

WORK SCHEDULE / HOURS
  • The employee is required to work shift hours and schedule specified by the Company.
