C++ Infrastructure Engineer
About this opportunity
The C++ Infrastructure Engineer will contribute to critical R&D software development projects that help the company innovate the aligner technology. The engineer should have a sound programming knowledge and exposure to the various build tools and the desire to innovate. This role will be part of Align’s goal to deliver our clear aligners (Invisalign ®) and 3D scanners (iTero ®) to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will…
- Work on the infrastructure code and keep it up to date with the latest and greatest code in the third party libraries
- Timely synch the infra and application code.
- Update the third-party libraries
- Set up and maintain bamboo plans to build application code
- Improve build time using various techniques
- Timely review code vulnerabilities and collaborate to get those resolved
As a part of larger Product Research and Development team:
- Identify the reusable components and refactor code
- Work in Development environments like Windows with MS Visual Studio, Git, Atlassian - JIRA, Bamboo etc...
Skills Knowledge & Expertise
In this role, you’ll need …
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent
- Build Systems Expertise: 4+ years of experience with building of very large systems using MSBuild, CMake, Ninja, gcc, Make, or Bazel.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI
- Version Control Systems: Proficiency with Git (experience with BitBucket administration is a plus).
- Package Management tools: Experience with Conan Package Manager would be great plus
- Automation Skills: Ability to automate build and deployment processes using scripts like Batch, Shell, Python
- System Administration: Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows system administration.
- Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Code scanning tools: PVS Studio, Snyk, CheckMarx, SonarQube, Clang-tyde
Desirable
- Familiarity with AWS services
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk
- Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu), Docker containers
- Familiarity with use of optimization techniques in software development.
