Sr. Machine Learning Engineer

This position is ideal for mid to senior-level machine learning professionals with 3+ years of experience to join the Diagnostic Services team as a Machine Learning.
In this role, you will develop and implement advanced machine learning models to analyze dental radiographs and 3D scanner data, driving innovation in AI-powered dental diagnostics.
Partnering with dental professionals, clinical experts, and cross-functional technical teams, you’ll deliver robust image analysis solutions and scalable AI integrations to enhance diagnostic workflows and support clinical decision-making.
This role is critical in advancing the future of dental healthcare through AI, ensuring accurate, efficient, and clinically reliable diagnostic tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement machine learning models to analyze dental radiographs and 3D scanner data, supporting the advancement of AI-driven dental diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with dental professionals and clinical experts to translate clinical requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Preprocess and annotate large datasets of dental images to train and validate machine learning algorithms.
  • Optimize and fine-tune models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability to support reliable clinical application.
  • Integrate machine learning solutions into existing dental software platforms to enhance diagnostic workflows.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and techniques in machine learning and dental imaging to inform innovation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and dental professionals, to ensure seamless deployment of AI applications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for machine learning models deployed in clinical environments.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of proven experience developing machine learning models; prior work with medical or dental imaging is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of image processing, model development, and proficiency in tools like Python, TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical teams and dental professionals.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
