Restorative Business Development Specialist - Midwest

As a Restorative Business Development Specialist (RBDS) you will partner Dental Labs and distribution as well as selling directly to General Dentists and Specialists, transforming an analog process with innovative solutions that educates patients, increases treatment acceptance, digitizes lab workflows, and produces easier, faster, and more accessible restorations. We’re helping practitioners grow their business and increase patient satisfaction.

Role expectations

  • Must live in territory: Colorado, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Wyoming 
  • Meet or exceed all quarterly and annual goals through the effective application of sales strategy and territory management.
  • Identify and Develop High Level Strategic Customer Relationships – Excels at developing customer loyalty and multiple relationships within the highest levels of key functional areas in Laboratories. He/she identifies strategic business opportunities within the United States top Laboratories; establishes effective relationships with key customer representatives and employees externally and internally; Creates strategic dialogue with high level decision makers/ influencers within targeted accounts to position Align as a complete solution for the Orthodontic care and Digital Impression needs at Laboratories; puts a high priority on both customer and Company interests when making decisions; leads by example and responds quickly and competently to customer issues; continually searches for ways to improve competitive advantage.
  • Plans, Organizes and Administers Laboratory Selling Efforts - Translates business strategies into clear objectives and tactics; collaborates and manages cross-functional sales/ marketing/ pricing teams effectively; creates realistic plans taking into account strategic pricing, budget constraints, and operating income/expenses; plans, prepares and follows up on sales forecasts, budgets; anticipates problems and develops contingency plans; establishes and implements effective and efficient procedures for communication across cross-functional teams and getting work done.
  • Build relationships and develop new business partnerships with Distribution Partner teams, and local Key Experts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of both lab and iTero digital workflows and will be viewed as the local subject matter expert on those topics.
  • Partner with the network of industry influencers and peers in your territory to build and execute a territory business plan to gain access, generate interest from, and sell to General Dentists and Specialists both directly and indirectly.
  • Leverage programs and business models to facilitate multiple unit orders with key partners.
  • Understand and analyze Customers’ needs and provide the right iTero portfolio product and buying options to meet their practice goals.
  • Grow the business by landing new accounts within your territory and providing forecastability and insight for sales leadership by maintaining a robust capital pipeline and CRM data relentlessly.
  • Collaborate with Customers, Labs, Business Developers, Trainers, and Support teams to provide an exceptional Customer experience in adopting iTero into their practice, including during product trials.
  • Work collaboratively with the iTero field team to facilitate digital penetration of customers focused predominantly on the restorative aspects of digital dentistry.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales and business development experience; track record of performance, achievement, and excellence in growing businesses
  • Industry experience selling medical device, capital equipment, dental, or other relevant B2B experience.
  • Candidate must possess strong Restorative Dental, Clinical, and Laboratory knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience required.
