Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SQA Engineer)

Our Enterprise Team envisions, creates and build tests to perform verification of Enterprise system solutions that drive better business processes. The SQA Group at Align Technology needs SQA for the FinanceApp group to help create and test enterprise system solutions that drive better business processes. As a member of the team, you will be involved in developing, testing, launching and iterating upon Integrated System components. You are able to think creatively about how to use technology to streamline and drive processes that are backbone of business process and in turn can take your ideas from concept through to impeccable execution. Ability to understand, develop automation frameworks, strong analytical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to interact with users is a must have.


We are looking for passionate Software Quality Assurance Engineer for our Engineering Team to be part of Quality (SQA) group, who is excited about joining a team that is execution oriented, fast moving and implementing the cutting-edge software architectural components. In this position, you will be a part of the team responsible for verifying & validation of Enterprise SAP system services for Order to Cash flows, Invoicing, Billing, Pricing, job processing, various products ERP test scenarios and will work with a wide scope of different finance applications & teams.

Role expectations


In this role, you will… 
  • Be responsible for verifying the configuration and deployment of SAP and Apttus applications into test environments for multiple projects.
  • Work closely with software developers, your peers in SQA, Project managers, and a diverse group of cross-functional teams including software, I.T., and Finance
  • Provide support for corporate business SAP and Apttus applications in a QA environment. 
  • Frequently and effectively communicate with business and technical staff members will be essential.
  • Analyze project documents in order to prepare effective test plans and execute test cases for SAP and Apttus applications.
  • Publish project sites, plans, and documentation using tools such as Excel, Word, wikis, and MS Project
  • Dependability: Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure. 
  • Initiative: Tackles problems and takes independent action, seeks out new responsibilities, acts on opportunities, generates new ideas, practices self-development
·       Work closely with the software development team to implement testing methods and validate test cases. Ensure direct ‘black box’ testing is complementary to what is being covered by unit and ‘white box’ testing.
·       Develop and maintain product test plans and test scripts that are effective at trapping defects so other team members can run them with confidence. 
·       Assist in understanding and replicating customer issues.
·       Excellent communication skills.
·       Ability to work with databases, automation infrastructure, cloud-based services. 
·       Ability to work with globally distributed teams. 
·       Ability to analyse project requirements and plan automation deliverables.

What we're looking for


In this role, you’ll need … 
 
·       Exposure to SAP Enterprise process and features involved, along with domain understanding in Systems modules to perform functional and Non-functional testing experience.
·       Ability to understand software architecture and enterprise applications.
·       Strong interpersonal communication skills with an ability to build relationships and work across multi-functional organizations. 
·       Ability to think creatively about how to use technology to streamline and drive processes that are backbone of business process and in turn can take your ideas from concept through to impeccable execution. 
·       Natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels.  
·       The ability to perform under pressure situations, while developing sound implementation approaches which solve the business problem or environment which they support.
·       Must have experience with ERP testing, preferred SAP OTC module, or sales order processing working experience including knowledge on shipping & invoicing.
·       Must have the ability to understand major systems integration between SAP and other integrated systems.
·       Working knowledge of SFDC/Apttus or similar applications, including Customer Master, Order Management, Pricing, Discounts, promotions
·       Have a good understanding of corporate financial concepts and accounting procedures, including advanced pricing, discounting, revenue deferral and recognition, cost accounting, GL, AP/AR, credit/debit processing.
·       Healthy engineering mindset, developing clean code for documentation and maintainability.
·       Passion for improvements, innovation, optimization
·       Working experience of Agile methodology SDLC model like Scrum, Kanban. Etc.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
 

·       BS degree or equivalent years of experience
·       5+ years of Testing IT experience in Software Quality Assurance 
·       Minimum 2+ years of SAP functional experience in SD or OTC modules, MM & FICO experience optional.
