SQA Sr. Software Developer in Test
The primary responsibility is to build frameworks and tools for software testing. The candidate must be able to understand the internal workings of the software, debug code, automate repetitive tasks, and implement new tools and/or frameworks as required in the quality process. Work directly with Software Development Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers to understand project requirements, review technical designs, and implement testing tools that help deliver quality software efficiently. Understand usage models and are capable of developing test cases and plans that approximate real-world environments and scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable test frameworks and test suites, and integrate systems.
- API-level testing.
- Ability to perform manual tests with the goal of developing automated tools.
- Create and analyze test logs and reports.
- Support the functional Software Quality team in automating test cases.
- Provide automation tools for generating test data.
- May supervise others.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Purpose
A Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is a developer with the primary responsibility of writing frameworks and tools to test products. SDETs can understand software internals, debug code, automate repetitive tasks, and implement new tools and frameworks needed to streamline our quality process. SDETs work directly with both Software Development Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers to understand project features, review technical designs, and implement automated test tools that help deliver quality features with efficiency. SDETs understand customer usage models and are able to develop test plans and test cases that approximate real-world environments and scenarios.
Essential obligations and responsibilities
· Project execution with both automation and functional coverage
· Support existing agile teams and expansion of agile within department
· Drive vision into action and deliver results
· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel. Work closely with internal and external customers
· Proactively implement test strategies to prevent future issues
· Design and build scalable automated test frameworks and test suites working across technologies.
· API level testing.
· Analyze test logs; create test reports, co-ordinate with stakeholders.
· Support Functional SQA team to automate test cases.
Desirable educación, skills and/or experience
· Computer Science degree with 3-5 years of experience as developer or SDET
· Technical knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance
· Experience in Software Testing, Test Automation, and automation Framework Development is required
· Experience in Python, VB Script is preferred
· Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
· Understanding of REST and SOAP API creation and consumption.
· Experience in Functional testing, Integration testing,
· Ability to drive and influence projects to meet deadlines, client expectations, and quality assurance standards
· Build strong, lasting relationships across functional team focusing on peer and senior management levels
· Contribute to decisions, collaborating with cross functional teams and senior management
· Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes.
· Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems.

- Strong understanding of computer science and data structures
- Demonstrable experience in writing clean and efficient code
- Experience in designing and implementing test frameworks
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Understanding of quality methodologies, processes, and software lifecycle
- Fundamentals in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
- Experience with automation and testing technologies such as Selenium, Pytest, UFT
- Knowledge of Jira and TM4J
- Advanced level of English
