The Financial Analyst will review, interpret and report data cross-functionally related to the Clinical Education and Customer Advocacy organizations. This position is required to provide FP&A support and work together with Clinical Education, Events Management and Costa Rica support teams in analyzing the costs and revenue associated with Align’s Clinical Education Events and Costa Rica support functions.This position will perform journal entry preparation, Purchase Req verification/approval, accrual preparation and monthly analysis of actual expense vs budget.
FP&A specific responsibilities include assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual forecast of Revenue, Cost of Goods, and Operating expenses.Month- end close activities including preparation of accruals, and explanation of results vs expectations.This role will also be responsible for working with A/R team to understand collections trends and risks for the NA business.
Develop strong relationships with all assigned business partners but maintain an objective mind in evaluating their performance as a group.Ability to work closely with corporate FP&A and accounting teams.
Help create, maintain and drive Align Training P&L including Revenue, COGS and Operating expenses associated with Align’s clinical education programs
Measure Return on Investment of Align’s Clinical Education initiatives
Create, maintain budget tracking reports to help drive adherence to budget and ability to explain any spending variances to management.
Period ending preparation to ensure accuracy of financial statements including Journal Entry preparation, account reconciliation and accrual calculations.
Participate in monthly financial close and forecast process for North America
Ensure financial integrity and compliance for all purchase requisitions related to the payment of Dr. Honorariums and events management.
Drive improvements in the Purchasing process to maintain financial integrity and improve experience internally and externally.
Liaison between US Finance and Costa Rica Finance supporting North America resources in CR, understanding CR costs and allocations and the impact on the US P&L
Consolidation of Americas level reporting for executive review

Minimum 3 years of FP&A experience, preferably supporting Sales or Marketing
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
Strong Working knowledge of US GAAP; Prior Accounting experience a plus
Strong analytical skills and experience in building models in MS Excel required.
Strong communication skills required.
Ability to prepare and analyze month end journal entries and accruals.
Ability to craft recommendation and present it effectively.
· Experience in major ERP software (preferably SAP) and BI reporting (Business Objects) as well as CRM software (salesforce.com)
Ability to travel up to 10%
