Associate Business Intelligence Analyst I (Belén- La Lima)
Role summary
This position is ideal for early-career professionals or recent graduates looking to build experience in Business Intelligence. The BI Analyst I supports the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports, participates in data collection and analysis activities, and collaborates with more experienced team members to deliver data-driven solutions aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in building and updating dashboards using Power BI under guidance from senior team members.
· Support data gathering and cleaning processes using SQL queries or Excel.
· Help document report specifications, update documentation, and ensure data accuracy.
· Participate in team meetings and follow project/task assignments effectively.
· Support data validation processes and help identify potential data issues.
· Collaborate with other BI Analysts to understand business requirements and deliver basic reports.
· Apply best practices in visualization and reporting as trained.
· Engage in ongoing learning to enhance knowledge in tools, databases, and reporting standards.
· Maintain clear communication with peers and proactively ask for support when needed.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree completed in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience & Development:
· 0–2 years of experience in a data-related or analytical role (internships or university projects are considered).
· Willingness and ability to learn quickly in a structured and fast-paced environment.
- Languages:
· Intermediate English proficiency; able to read technical documentation and communicate ideas in meetings.
Soft Skills:
· Curiosity and willingness to learn BI tools and data concepts.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
· Good time management and ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
· Team-oriented with a collaborative attitude.
· Proactive in asking questions and documenting learnings.
Innovation skills:
· Eager to support process improvements through data.
· Open to feedback and mentoring from senior BI Analysts.
· Supports teamwork through clear communication and ownership of responsibilities.
Technical Proficiency:
· Basic knowledge of Power BI (coursework or practice projects are valid).
· Introductory knowledge of SQL and experience using queries for data retrieval.
· Familiarity with Excel, including pivot tables and basic formulas.
· Exposure to Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
· Basic understanding of data visualization principles.
· Exposure to Power Apps or Power Automate is a plus.
· Basic experience working with databases, reports, or data projects in academic or internship settings.
· Introductory knowledge of DAX or data modeling is desirable.
Desired Qualifications:
· Microsoft Power BI Fundamentals
· SQL Beginner certifications (e.g., DataCamp, Coursera)
· Excel Specialist
· Participation in data bootcamps or capstone projects
